Wayfinding in sportcomplex De Wiltsangh in Nunspeet

The interior is based on the atmosphere of the adjoining nature reserve, a timeless and attractive combination of white and wood. The wooden construction acts as a mood maker in the interior. This natural character is also reflected in the wayfinding. The design was inspired by the structure of three mushroom species from the Veluwe. Each type is assigned to a domain in the building and has its own colour.

Slangen+Koenis took care of the style design of the wayfinding. Iwaarden took care of its realisation. During the preparation we mapped out the location and chose the best places for the signs, so that visitors can easily find their way around the complex. Then, we made a plan for the right choice of materials. For example, we selected a special type of foil for the floors, that can withstand thousands of footsteps every day. In the wet rooms we selected moisture-resistant materials. In total, more than 240 parts have been installed. The result; a striking wayfinding in a natural atmosphere.
