The shop window of the David Lloyd Sportschool in Amsterdam has been transformed into a photographic light installation by Popel Coumou. The artwork was created by Iwaarden and constantly changes between sunset and sunrise. A work of art that visually surprises passengers.

After an extensive testing phase, the photographic layers have been processed by Iwaarden, printed on a glass foil and then applied to the windows on location. By means of varying lighting in the shop window, the atmosphere and appearance of the installation gradually changes during the day and the night, revealing the photographic layers. Like a calm beacon in the hustle and bustle of daily life, the work persuades passers-by to pause and reflect for a moment.
The art project of Popel Coumou at David Lloyd is also made possible thanks to the support of the Municipality of Amsterdam and Soledad Senlle Art Foundation, which supports projects by artists and wants to draw the public attention to innovation projects in the urban environment.
