A play of light and color brings the facade of the NEMO Science Museum to life
Anyone visiting the NEMO Science Museum on the IJ is introduced to the world of science and technology even before stepping inside. In collaboration with Studio MAST, we created a striking window film installation that literally brings the museum to the outside world. It’s a project where color, movement, and experience come together to inspire visitors from the very first moment. A design that had to be both visible and tangible.
For the NEMO entrance, the brief was clear: develop a window film installation that reinforces the museum’s identity while creating a surprising experience for visitors. The film had to be colorful and playful, yet remain sufficiently transparent so that daylight could continue to enhance the space. When the sun hits the glass, the design should become visible in the entrance hall and contribute to the unique atmosphere of the interactive museum.
